1. Warranty

From the date of purchase is on all new instruments extended TWO YEARS warranty against defective materials and workmanship in manufacture. Faults will either be corrected or the instrument replaced (at our discretion), when returned to Folkart Slovakia.

Please note that this guarantee does not apply to:

  1. Any damage caused by accident, mistreatment or misuse.
  2. Instrument that has been tampered with.
  3. Any effects of adverse atmospheric conditions.

However, small cracks or minor flute voice degradation will be REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE LIFE-LONG !

The buyer is obliged to pay the agreed price and to accept the delivered goods.
However, it is still possible to cancel the order anytime before the delivery for full refund of paid price less transaction & postal fees.

Privacy Statement

Folkart Slovakia values your business and respects your privacy. Our privacy policy is never to sell, trade, give away, or otherwise share your personal information with anyone. Your personal information is used only in processing and delivery of your product.

Return & Refund Policy

All the products are 100% guaranteed to satisfy you.
If not, send them back within 30 days in its original condition for an exchange or refund excluding shipping cost and transaction fees. Returns MAY (but normally do NOT) incur a restocking charge of 10% to 30%.

If the return is a result of our error, we'll pay all the (also return) shipping cost and transaction fees and no restocking charge will apply!

Returns are not accepted without prior authorization. Please, contact us first by either e-mail or phone or and list the reasons of return clearly.

We will request that you RETURN the item(s) insured via FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT or EMS. You may choose any from the following return/refund options:

  1. We will replace the item(s) for you: entrust us to choose the same quality instrument(s) to replace the item(s). You must return the item(s) before it is replaced.
  2. We will issue a store credit for the purchase price of the returned item(s). Store credit will be issued for the amount of purchase (applying fees) upon our receipt of the item(s). You have to use whole issued store credit to purchase goods in our store, no money returns would be accepted in this case.
  3. We will refund the price paid (excluding shipping costs and transaction fees) . Refunds will be issued within one week upon our receipt of the item(s).
    Refunds will be realized via direct bank to bank, Western Union, or other agreed method of money transfer. Transaction fees will be deducted from the refund sum.

Damage in Shipment

We pack our instruments for shipping with the utmost care. Till now, (last update - March 2007) ALL FLUTES WERE RECEIVED IN PERFECT CONDITION and no reclamation due to damage in shipment was needed.
However, if your instrument should arrive damaged in shipping, we will replace it for you. In order to receive a replacement, you must IMMEDIATELY file a claim with the carrier and contact us within 5 days of receipt by either phone or e-mail. We will discuss the details and replace the flute. Replacements are usually sent only after a valid claim is successfully submitted.

IMPORTANT - How to File a Claim ?
If FedEx, EMS or another carrier has damaged your shipment, please SAVE ALL WRAPPINGS and contact your local carrier IMMEDIATELY. When the package looks damaged even from the outside, take some pictures when unpacking to document the damage.

Please DO NOT SEND the damaged package back to us, since the CLAIM must be made by the RECEIVER.


We neither carry the responsibility for any late delivery of the ordered goods by the carrier, nor for not in-time delivery or non-delivering of the product at all due to the contractor's (artisan's) fault.


All instruments that have been set up are guaranteed except damage due to neglect, mistreatment or adverse atmospheric conditions.
However, small cracks or minor flute voice degradation will be repaired free of charge:
Every Folkart Slovakia contracted craftsman agrees to repair his Fujara flutes lifelong free of charge. This is a goodwill but it doesn't cover everything though.
If we find that your flute cannot be easily repaired and requires serious treatment, eg. cracks in the main pipe, seriously damaged sound device, etc., we will charge you a fair price corresponding with the treatment needed.

Due to the sensitivity of wood to the elements and handling, we do not guarantee your flute once you neglect its treatment.
There are several things you can do to insure your flute's longevity:

  1. Keep your flute out of direct sunlight.
  2. Oil your flute regularly with a food grade oil, such as walnut, olive or sesame.
    Learn more about oiling.
  3. Keep your flute in the supplied carrying bag or wooden case.
  4. Keep and transport your FS collapsible fujara flute disassembled.
    We hope you'll enjoy your flutes for years to come!
